Mercy Mercy

I am sitting here listening to a song entitle Mercy Mercy by Hillsong united. I honestly think this is the most beautiful song I have heard in a while. I don't know if I am just touched by the musical moments or what, but I can not listen to this song with out feeling so small compared to God. Its a moment that shows Just how big he is!

The fact that this world fell into sin and that He loved and cared for us so much that he would give His son for our sinful wretched lives. How is it that we can sit here and just deliberately disobey and dishonor him. When he cares so much for our well being. We all should be calling out to him as the song says "Mercy mercy bring me to my knees." That moment so intimate with God when he brings out the darkness in you, reminds you your forgiven and then breathes life back into you. So that you can find your own life in Him. The song asks for the "spirit to lift me out of the wasteland and to lead me home." Home can be heaven, or his peace.

"arrest my heart from this reckless path, release the chains in me"
awake up my soul to the hope you hold, your grace is all I need"
This is probably my favorite part in the whole song. Commanding your heart to stop in its bad direction and to get straight and knowing that there is still hope through God's grace. That even though we are on a reckless path that he still has mercy and grace for us.

The beautiful sacrifice of his son. The song sets this part up so beautifully
" humble glory chose to carry all my shame. Rendered worthy in the shadow of your name. Gracious fury written in my Saviors scars Mercy mercy now engraved upon my heart"
Jesus went through all of that so that we would have hope in this world. That we could still succeed after the fall of man. Because it was never God's intent for us to have fallen from his graces. We were/are his masterpieces, that he so beautifully designed.
I dont know this song just really touches me its just a song of repentance song you just want to repent for things you haven'even done yet and yet take comfort in knowing that God loves you JUST THE SAME. This post may mean nothing to you and it may be just a bunch of blabber but it is definitely something that just brings me to the realization of how good God really is, and that I didn't deserve to be where I am. That the reason I am still alive is due to God's grace and mercy for me. At the end of the day HE is all I need.  But you can listen to the song "Mercy Mercy" for yourself. This is also the Meaning of the song "Mercy Mercy"

Don't Forsake the Process

The most important thing out of ANY success that must happen is... the process.
The process can be exciting, joyful, tiring, extremely long and tedious, boring, stressful, or even grueling. Yet in all that we have to learn that we can not forsake it. That we can get no where with out it.

Lately I myself have been trying to get around "the process" and I realized that no matter how hard I try to get around it, it will just lead me right back to staring it dead in the face with little to know progress made. It can be discouraging at times because until you start the process you have almost no clue how the process will go if it will be fast or slow or any of the things I listed above. I was feeling kind of down earlier so I started listening to Bishop T.D. Jakes podcasts on "Stay on Track". I won't say that it lifted my spirits 100% but I can say that it did encourage me and brought my mind to a new perspective when it comes to doing something for God. "The Process".

Like I said earlier you can not forsake the process! You have to take each step at a time. Just like a staircase. Bishop T.D. Jakes put it this way. He explained how when he was younger man that he was not a fan of stairs ( most of us aren't). When it came time to walk up the steps he would skips steps at a time. He would even run up the steps. He would run so much that it caused him to trip up the steps. We are always, especially in this society, trying to do things by getting around the process. We just want it done and done quickly our cares are more for efficiency and less about quality. When it comes to Gods work... we have to care. Its not about doing things quickly all the time. Because no matter what we all live by the same time limited to this planet. Think about this if you would. Two cars are driving down a road. The first car is zooming through all the cars trying to get where they are going. The second car is taking their time. At the end of the road there is a stop light and the light turns red. By the time the second slower car gets to the light they realize that the faster car was sitting at the light as well...only a few cars foward. The point of that scenario was to show you that it doesn't matter what if you zoom around all fast or move slow. A stop light or situation can equally affect either party ( the stop light being a part of the process of driving)

We have to deal with the fact that each process that we have to go through is different. I like to think about mowing the grass as a great process that could drive anyone crazy.

But every part is so very important. For instance. Say you have a large field. If you don't have the right amount of gas in the mower you decrease the amount of grass that can be cut, before you have to get more gas. If your moving to fast you can veer either to the left or to the right and miss strips of grass at a time. So that by the time that you get done you realize that you have missed MANY sections and that you will have to go back and restart over again.

I know at times its hard to follow through. But you have to do it. Remember that each step that we take is ordered by God.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way. Psalms 37:23 KJV

That he has planned blessings for us to receive, as a matter of fact, its already ours! You just have to believe in it, which requires faith. Even having faith is a process.
So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. Romans 10:17 NLV

You have to constantly be listening to the word of God in order to build your faith. We have dreams/visions but they ALL require that we work through the process. We have to take the time to plan everything out and then take it step by step. going back to the grass cutting scenario. Any single piece of grass we cut is progress. So every step we take forward is progress. Therefore,we should be thanking and praising God after every blade being cut or every step being taken!

One thing about seeing or knowing what God has for you makes it hard to follow through on the steps because we have an idea of what to expect. our thought is just that we want to be there already. We want it to be happening now! Don't worry though God is not teasing you. Although it may seem like that. God is just trying to get you to build your faith to get you excited and to start taking steps to what he's showed you. Also so he can show you, teach you and equip you with the things that you will need in order to pull off the task that is at hand.

The English Standard Version bible puts it this way:
"20  Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dea our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21  equip you with everything good that you may do his will working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ. To whom be glory forever and ever. Amen" ( Heb 13:20,21 ESV)

the focus being verse 21.

The best part about following through the process is that you can celebrate so much more knowing that you finally got to the place you were going! Then when you look back you will be amazed to see that 140 steps seemed impossible but it was do able!  That then empowers you for the next process at a higher level. It builds your faith and it lets you know just how capable you are through God!

So to close out. Don't try to skip steps of what ever process your being out through! God is with you all the way! Don't get deterred and don't get discouraged. The process helps you slow down and think, to not make spontaneous decisions and to have time to thank God for what he's done and where he's got you so far!

Keep pressing and Keep stepping. One day, one moment at a time!
I love you but God loves you more!

"The" Father

First I want to say HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!! What a wonderful and special day! The day we get to show our appreciation for everything that our Dads do for us. Have you ever really thought about it?

The Father that puts HIS relationship with God above everyone and everything else. Think about the story of Abraham. Abraham loved and trusted God so much that he was willing to sacrifice something that was dear to him and something that him and Sarah had been wanting so bad even in their old age, his son. Not one second did Abraham doubt what God had told him to do, and because he chose to obey God, God blessed him in the long run. God blessed him immediately by allowing that ram to be caught up in the bush. So that Abraham would not have to sacrifice his son. In the God blessed Abraham with so many promises. I thank God that I/we are the seeds of Abraham! We are Blessed!! (Gen 22)

The Father who no matter how you have disrespected him still lets you come back to his home. Even after you have blown your life away, no matter how old you are, and forgives you of all your wrong doings and restores you past the way you were before you automatically knew better and destroyed your life so much that you were living with the pigs ( if you were even that lucky). The prodigal son thought he knew better than his father but his father did not give up hope on him. he waited every day for his son to return home with open arms. Just waiting for his son to come back to his senses. (Luke 15:11-32)

The Father that takes on another's child as if that child was His own. Joseph had no idea that he would soon be the father of a child that he had no part in "creating". What an honor to be requested by God to take care of God's own child. If you ask me that is THE most amazing father moment. Joseph not only raised the man that would save this world ( and did) But the idea that God physically chose Joseph and trusted him to care for baby Jesus. Just think how crucial that is. If Joseph didn't care about Jesus well being.. Jesus, although I doubt God would let it happen, could have grown up to be anything but the savior of the world.  Many fathers have this special responsibility to raise another's child. What they do is so CRUCIAL to that persons well being in the long run. (matt 1:19-25)

The first time fathers. You know they say "children don't come with books" and neither does the world. Adam the first father of this world. Had no IDEA what it even meant to be a "father" no one earthly came before him. He had to solely rely on God and Gods teachings to raise his kids and to care for the beginnings of this world. Not only did he have to lay the ground work for how the natural things of this world would work ( at his time the household) but he also had to learn to love a wife and to raise children. Many Fathers are just now learning this and I just want to say. You keep it up. God is your best example of what a father is! (Gen 2:20-25,3,4:1)

There is one more but I am saving it for later :-)

One thing that always throws me about Fathers day is how so many mothers tend to use this time for a self promotion and a bashing day, as if they don't have Mother's day. We understand that you are a single mother and that you are having to handle your business for you and your family. We all Respect that more than you know. Just know you don't have to dog every father wether they act like one or not. This should be a day where you realize that maybe the father of your child may be a joseph type father.  Now Don't get me wrong. I understand that it is not always easy raising children by yourself. I have seen it and I know it can be hard. So even on this day we still HONOR you for holding it down for your family. Don't feel like you have to let the world know that your a single mother doing what you have to do. We know you are because we see it in your determination to do right by your children. I promise they respect that EVERYDAY not just mothers day ( even if it doesn't seem like it, and even though they may not see it now. I promise they do) You bashing the fathers only teaches your children that it is ok to do the same. Therefore leading to disrespect of fathers all around and in the  end to disrespect of the ULTIMATE Father, God. Thats something that we just can't have.

Now I know some people have the reasonings " I never knew my father", or "my father is no good he was never there for me", so on and so forth. That you have never had a father and that you don't need one. First of all just imagine how the next Father that I am about to talk about would feel to those comments. That next person:

THE Father! GOD! No one in this ENTIRE world can say that they have never had a father, because God is the father! He is the father that sacrificed his son for you! The Father who when you have thrown your life away and turned your back on him blowing all your treasures, sits and waits for you with extended arms WAITING and watching for your return to him. The father that will hold you when your heart is broken. The father that stays with you when you are lonely. The father that will fight for you! The Father that corrects and loves unconditionally. The father that created this whole world to show you his love his creativity and his power. The father that provides for you. The father who has the special responsibility to take care of you when your earthly father refuses to. The father that established the laws of this universe that teaches us how to love ( love him, ourselves, and others) the father that you pushed aside but is anxiously wanting to have a relationship with you. This is THE Father... Do you know him?

Do you thank him on a daily basis for the ways he provides for you in the background when you are unknowing. Do you spend time with him, because time on this earth is so limited. Do you respect the idea that yes he corrects but he still loves you? Do believe that he will always provide for you and that there is nothing that he can not do?

God gave each and everyone of us an earthly father and one things we need to realize is that they are NOT perfect. They make mistakes. Sometimes they just simply don't know what to do. Stop holding grudges agains what you father has/hasn't done. instead show them forgiveness, show them love, show them respect. Thats the biggest thing you could give on a day like today. Today I challenge you find a scripture or something that  uplifts your dad. Let it be positive. So what if your dad is across country, international, or incarcerated ( if that be the case). Sit down write them a letter, wish them Happy Fathers day. Tell them you love them and tell them you forgive them. And actually mean it. Answer that call that you have been ignoring for the past how ever long. Make first contact if you have to. If they don't want anything to do with you then leave a message from your heart you never know that might be the push they need to either see the love of God through you. Or to  do a 180 on your relationship and start healing things. You never know. Step out on Faith

Get out of your hate, and your grudges. Give them a chance to get it right! It may take some time. If they chose not to get it right don't be discouraged because at that point it is between them and God. You just do your part!

If someone curses their father or mother,
their lamp will be snuffed out in pitch darkness. (Prov 20:20 NIV)

I was blessed  to have the opportunity to spend time with two fathers other than God himself that I am so happy that I have. Things may not be where I want them but I know for sure these are definitely who I want. I am so glad that God put them in my life and that they love and care for me! I love them both so much! The other than my mom and grandparents lol are my biggest support. Also shout out to my grandpa's who I cant find a picture of at the moment. I have such a large family its hard to get everyone. But I love them all dearly!

"As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him."
Psalm 103:13 (NIV)

Spring Fest

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court. (Psalm 127:3-5 NIV)

(I included this one because my dad in the picture above this verse uses this to explain to us how he is here to lead us in the direction we should go. As well as aim us for success!)

For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. Gen 18:19 KJV

I really want to see change in how we treat our parents as a whole, that goes for ALL ages!

I love you all so much but God "The Father"  loves you more!

Its TIME!

It seems to me that a LOT of people have been told by God to do things and they have just been sitting on those instructions. So I wanted to write a little something to that.

First if you know that God has instructed you to do something and you have just been chilling... GET UP OUT OF YOUR STAGNANT STATE AND GET TO WHAT GOD SAID TO DO!! You are only hurting yourself by not doing it. Realize that God is not obligated to hold the spot for you. If you refuse to do what He has asked of you he will move on to the next person.

We need to be aware of the fact that WE as the B.O.B (Body of Believers) are the hands and feet of Jesus! I know that may seem cliche, but I want you to realize that God, due to his law of free will, can not do anything on this earth with out a willing vessel. We are that vessel. We have to want to be obedient to what God asked of us. Putting our self aside. Remember that is what we signed up for when we told God that we wanted him to be the head of our life and that we were going to serve Him!

These Excuses WON'T cut it any longer. I am bringing this to your attention so you are now accountable for it. If you are feeling convicted Good! You should! God has so much planned for you, but your stopping the process due to your disobedience!

So lets bust up some of these excuses, a lot of these is what I was telling myself.

"This can't be for me, I am not equipped"
Oh yes it can!!! and yes it is!! You have to know that if God gave it to you. Then it is yours. Unless you choose to give it away. One phrase that we often hear is "God does not call the equipped he equips the called' If God gave you a task then it is for you and you are more than capable of pulling it together. When David went to fight Goliath he didn't say "I can't do this.. I am not properly equipped with the gear that is needed for a battle". No, David who carried around a sling picked up three stones( Gods equipment #1) and used what he had to take down a giant. Eventually killing the giant with the giants OWN sword (Gods equipment #2) . So don't worry about if you have what it takes to do what God told you to.

In my own expierence when I started my web videos I didnt think that I was properly equipped but then I realized I don't need a fancy camera. My iPad works just fine, or using my computer camera. I dont need to by the most expensive editing material iMovie works just fine (for those who dont own a mac iMovie is just a means of recording and editing built into the computers)  I kept stopping myself because I didn't think I was going to be able to make super great fantastic videos with what I had. But it's not true! I was more than equipped with what I needed! And as time goes on I know what ever else I need God will provide. So don't worry about what you think you don't have. Your ready!

"I am not ready for this!"
You ARE ready! I have been listening to some things on God and his timing. The result is that God has a plan for your life that he has laid down certain spots of grace and favor for the tasks that was given to you! Often times God is telling us "do this now!"  We have the tendency to think that God doesn't know what he is talking about because the environment that he is asking us to do it in isn't right or it seems like what ever the task is won't be received by the people but the thing is... God knows EXACTLY what he is doing and why He has you doing something AT THAT TIME. If whatever it is, is rejected know that they are rejecting God NOT you. So you can not take offense to it. Put all your trust in God and move on what he has said to do!

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end" Jer 29:11

"There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ jesus appears." Phil 1:6 MSG

"God has asked me to do something that I haven't spiritually conquered yet"
I am not exactly sure if that wording came out right but I am going to go with it so bare with me. I know when it came to me starting Project_1dentity webisodes that I kept stalling because I wondered how can God ask ME to teach others my age on something that God is still dealing with me on. I don't want to be a hypocrite I want to be able to give them hope that they can conquer what they are going through. The beauty in this is that you don't HAVE to be perfect! God does not expect you to come perfect. God used all kinds of people from prostitutes to  shepherds, from peasants to even a few people to have his tasks completed. It doesn't matter where you are in life God can and will (if you open yourself to him) use you. Most of the people that God gives tasks to and uses are people that he knows that weakness but the funny thing about God is.. the area that you feel your at your weakest is what God uses to help build into a strength!

Like for me I am a very timid person, very shy and at times very insecure. Isn't it funny that God would call me to start a video ministry?! Something that millions of people will see? Not only that Im the daughter of a pastor meaning at some points I have to actually be in front of the church but you know in all of that I am (notice the tense) still becoming more and more acclimated to being in front of and around people and accepting me for me!

"I can just get to it later"
ummmm...NO. If God didn't give you a "start on this day" date, then you SHOULD assume that he means IMMEDIATELY...actually don't assume it, KNOW IT! You don't know how long your time on this earth is. Also, like I mentioned before the task that God had laid out for you and the blessings that he wants to give you he can easily give to some one else. One thing that I have been taught is that what God needs to get done in this earth he WILL get it done its just a matter of who is willing to be his open vessel to do things by. If you accepted to be the willing vessel, then be willing to work and be obedient to whatever he has given you at that time!

'People probably won't like the idea"
If God gave it to you then just cast this thought out of your brain. What would be the point of God giving it to you if NO one was going to receive it? No! You step out on faith and you do it. God will reach who he needs to just because of your obedience. It's not even about what other people think. YOU just be obedient to God. He will take care of the rest.

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me"  John 12:32 KJV

A few things I have learned.
  1. Never forsake small beginnings- remember you have to start somewhere!
"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in zerubbabels hand" Zech 4:10

 2. God is always with you. He wont give you something and then just leave you hanging to figure out what to do next. He has a plan. You are part of that plan!

3.HAVE FUN AND GET CREATIVE! Sometimes its not that God has left you once he informed you of what to do. Sometimes he wants you to get creative use the gifts he gave you and you imagination (which is like his) to accomplish the task. Dont get frustrated. Make sure what ever it is keeps you in his will LOL because you definitely wouldn't want to do something that gets you in trouble but don't be afraid to dream big! If he didn't give you point by point  "do not deviate" instructions then do what it takes to get the job done!

I can't wait to see where God is going to lead me and it inspires so much to know that he has such big plans for my life, even though at times I can't picture things further than my hand can reach God can see way far beyond that!
If this is you in anyway then I just want to encourage you to go ahead and get moving on that task don't hold back. You are more than ready and you are more than equipped there are people waiting on you to get started. I love you but God loves you even more. So on the count of three

Project_1dentity Intro

When God tells you to do something you don't wait. These past two years I have been procrastinating on a video ministry that God instructed me on starting. Because of my own fears and insecurities, I kept putting off.
Finally, I couldn't take the feeling of knowing that I had been putting God off this long. How can I say I love him, and that I serve him but I don't do a task that he has given me.

I would  say that I know the reason some things in my life lately had been complicated was due to my disobedience. I would never know what it affected until I got on the right path. So I spent a whole day doing what I KNOW I needed to do. It was scary knowing that once I started this that I would HAVE to continue it. I can't just let it fall by the wayside. Gladly I know that God has a greater purpose with this ministry and I am very glad that he wanted me to have a piece in this. I am also glad to know that God actually waited on me to do this. He didn't give my task away due to my unwillingness and my apathy towards it. Now I dont know what God has planned for this but wether it succeeds or fails I know that all things work to my good because I love the Lord because I AM called according to his purpose( Ref. Romans 8:28). So I am not worried and I am not stressed about it.

There is some learning that will have to go into this I know but I am definitely ready to see what is going to happen. Im trusting God completely on this because it is all for his Glory anyway.

So please enjoy the clip and I hope that you will stay tuned in with me! I love you but God loves you more!

A New Mindset For A New Year

So first I want to say an early happy New year's to every one reading this. I know that 2012 has been a rough year for many to different extents. I just want to say some things about the new year that will be upon us in just a few hours. I see how most of you mention on twitter how you plan on turning this year and how 2013 is THAT year when everything is going to be great etc. Well this year I think that it is time to make it THAT year. We all know how New Years resolutions go... we make them and stick to them for about the first week and then after that we go back to the same ole same ole. Not really to interested in doing anything different because we have done it a certain way for so long. How about this year we actually change that, why not put in a little initiative and discipline into this year.

I want to direct this blog towards resolutions we definitely want to have for this up coming year.

1. Positive Speech
To often many of us have such negative things to say about not only others but about our own lives. we constantly talk about our selves in such a negative light and then wonder why our life seems so bad. In Proverbs the bible talks about our speech and how it affects us, everyone has head this scripture at least once in their life.
"death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [ for death or life] Proverbs 18:21 AMP
When it comes to school we constantly joke about how "o I'm just gonna fail that test anyway" even our little phrase "I'm weak" in just that alone we wonder why we give into temptations so easily. You want to stop dealing with something but in you bring up this term often. even though it is not directed towards a temptation you fight your STILL claiming weakness. Now I know some may say "Chelsee its really not that deep." and yet it is THAT deep. and example of how powerful words are, many of you remember in Mark where Jesus curses the fig tree because it was not producing in the time that it should have been. Jesus says to the tree in verse 14 of mark 11 " No one ever again shall eat fruit from you" later on when Jesus and his disciples were leaving jerusalem the disciples noticed that the fig tree has withered away by the roots. although that scripture is commonly used for how faith works it also shows how our words work especially when we believe in our heart what we say.So it still ties in.

2. Single-mindedness
From what I have seen many of us want to stop being so confused and complicated about how we live and how we want to live. So many are sitting on the fence what we want to do this year is to officially make the decision to be on GOD's side. Take this New Years for example so many will go to church and be at church until like 12 and the next stop is not home, the next stop might be a party or a club, to do what? Strut your stuff, risqué dancing. How is it that you pray to God and present yourself as holy and then take Gods temple and defile it? "double mindedness" if you truly honored God and his temple which is your body you would have given up all of that. Now I'm not saying you have to be boring and not go anywhere but I'm just saying understand your surroundings and how that affects you. How being in those situations can compromise the integrity of your relationship with God. Just be aware of that. But I digress. Don't let people talk you into feeling like you serving God is not good enough and that your missing out if your not out there living a worldly life. Remember we are in the world not OF the world. Your not missing out.

let's talk briefly of what the bible says about double mindedness.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways James 1:8 KJV 9 double minded people have a hard time committing to one thing. they want to be in the church and in the world at the same time. They are are easily influenced by what the world says even though they know in their heart and spirit that what ever it is, is wrong. They are unstable because you never know what they are going to do.

3. Forgiveness
This probably should have been first but thats ok as long as its here. This one is MEGA important. We like holding grudges against people for what ever reason and yet that only affects us. It just burns us up on the inside, While the other person is still living a carefree life. But you know what. God does not take your unforgiving lightly. Jesus says in Matthew 6:14 and 15

"For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses."
basically your refusal to forgive another cause God to not forgive you. and realize that if God does not forgive you that means that you are not in Gods will therefore God wont be able to bless you. It causes a domino effect. So forgive, get over your pride and talk to that person. Go and ask that person to accept your forgiveness after you actually forgave them, and if they don't accept its ok you will be good in God's eye and thats what matters.

ok Im trying to speed this up I didn't realize how long this got but its all important.

4.Self-Esteem
(sigh) there is SOOO much that can go with this but I'll try to keep this short.
1. Dont compare yourself, your life, your relationship status, etc. with anyone else doing that causes your self-esteem to drop way down. You dont have to worry about your life God has your life. Everything will be in his time if you let it be. Dont believe me just read what God himself had to say about that in Jeremiah.
"i know what I'm doing. I have it planned out plans to take care of you,not abandon you plans to give you the future your hope for" Jer 29:11 MSG
2. know who you are God's child. " I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well" Psalms 139:14
under all of that if your trying to get in shape then get in shape. find a person to go with you to they gym to eat with you so you chose healthy foods and so forth. Remember your body is the temple of God keep it up and keep it clean.

5. Singleness
I am going to write a blog on this later but just for now know that its not bad that you are single for the moment. Just because all of your friends got engaged or started relationships during this holiday season doesn't mean that you are behind in life God has his own plan for your life. remember the scripture that I used above about his plans for you. Trust him. If you start having ring envy then just go buy you a ring put it on your finger and get over the hype. I decided that my purity ring would have a double meaning because even i had a moment. trust me it helps. Also know that this time for you is to do what you can for God and the kingdom with out being tied to a significant other. You can also grow your relationship with him. Which is the ULTIMATE relationship.

Ok i believe that I have said enough for now LOL there is way more but I think these are good enough. I will probably do another five in the next few days. well I pray that you have a great New Years and I hope that you run with this. This year will be as great as you allow God to let it be, Be obedient to God. If your partying tonight please I beg be safe out there. Drink responsibly and dont drive drunk, and dont let your friends drive drunk call a taxi or AAA to come and help out if you must. if you have to go as far as a police officer then do it. Lets get as many people into 2013 as we can.

Halloween: The emotion, the cover up, and the environment

Many of us at one point enjoyed Halloween but in your walk with Christ its time to learn and to grow from those days.Check your motives and how this holiday can possibly affect you.

1. FEAR
This is what halloween especially nowadays plays off of. This is probably the biggest one. It completely cancels out the whole affair all together. The bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV):  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
This means that fear is not of God, said in another way fear is in no way Godly, God is not in it. Now if your claiming to be saved why would you put yourself in a situation to be OUT of the presence of God? If God is not there then anything you do in that moment he is not obligated to make sure that your ok when you willingly step away from you. Fear comes in this moment because you do get that emptiness/helplessness feeling inside of you. Your jumpy because your spirit man detects that it is somewhere that God is not. In my opinion thats a terrible place to be.

2. The Costume
Where to begin. I think this is more focused towards us ladies but guys a lot of it applies to you too. For some the costume aspect really isn't that big of a deal. But for others it REALLY is. Personally in my opinion I believe that some costumes or chosen because of a self esteem level that has been failed to be obtained. Why is it that on this ONE day that ladies feel the need to find the outfits that cover the LEAST amount of skin? Why is it that you have to be seductive on this ONE specific night? What is it doing for you? We know you have that "banging body" but do you really think that it is acceptable to have it all exposed? How exactly are you representing God with your chest and your backside all out. Halloween is NOT a big 1 night stand. Not saying that, that is the intent but are you really helping to avoid the situation especially when drinks are added in for the "grown folks" population. (we will talk about the parties later). I always here how people say they are classy this and classy that....how is that classy?

1Peter 3:3-5" Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to adorn themselves...."

Does that mean dress in boring things? No definitely not but be considerate of the guys who are trying to live their lives the right way. Think about this

matthew 5:27-28 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’[a] 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Ladies the reverse of that is true to. You may not be married but its still applies and its still wrong. Lust is a sin wether you want it to be or not. Those sexual thoughts are not good things to have about a woman or man that is not given to you by God. i.e. YOUR spouse.

3.PARTY! PARTY! PARTY!
Our generations BIGGEST hang up really. The environment for these can get way out of hand. Yes, you do have like parties for the little kids and the school parties. Then you have the "grown" parties that come with drinking and things that just probably shouldn't be done. I haven't been to these parties but I have heard enough stories about them to last me a life time. If you do go to these parties then you probably understand. For a night I know its all for fun but really it is not something that if your living saved that you should be entertained by. Your getting beyond drunk at these parties.1 Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.sleeping around with people Hebrews 13:4Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. Things just get way to out of hand and rowdy

Ephesians 5:7-12
Don't participate in the things these people do. For though your hearts were once full of darkness, now you are full of light from the Lord, and your behavior should show it! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.
Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, rebuke and expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret.(NLT)
Dont let the "spirit" of the Holiday take you out of what you know is right in christ. I Promise if you don't go your not missing anything its the same ole same ole every year and it doesn't change. Dont you get tired of doing the same things over and over again? This halloween why not go out and do something you have never done before.. This year halloween in on a Wednesday.. why not try going to church instead?

God is on your side

Romans 8:28-39
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i] have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified;those he justified, he also glorified.
31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”[j]
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[k] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I couldn't pick a good place to stop so I decided not to. I was listening to a song this morning and the artist stated "That all in all things God works for the good of those that love him. That just stuck with me I just felt so empowered to go out and just achieve!

If your like me you might be going through a time where you have been sitting and wondering how are things going to go. How do I know that what Im doing is even going to work. Why is that there are certain things that I am going through that hurt me. well here is your answer. God has called you to a higher calling and a higher purpose. That day that you felt God move on your heart and you gave your life to him that was his calling for you. Dont worry if things will work out. Matthew 6:34 says

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Dont spend so much time worrying. The very first scripture says that NOTHING can separate us from the love of God and as long as God loves us then he will always handle our needs when we let him.

God has already written your story so dont be afraid to act it! I know that times can get kind of hard right now especially for those of us who are in school but you know what Don't worry. God has plan! Your struggle is ONLY temporary. All of the challenges you face will resolve themselves for your good. Everything always goes back to keeping your eye on God though Matthew 6:33 says

"But seek you first the Kingdom of God and all its righteousness and these things shall be added unto you"

The more you focus on God and do his work the more he will do and give you the things you want and need.

So dont give up keep pressing always keep your faith in action!
God wont let you fail in the things that he has written for your life.stay encouraged

Priorities

Its been a little while since I have posted anything on here but I was asked the other night to start up again so I figured that I would go ahead and do so. Some of you have been waiting on me and I have just been dragging my feet to do the things that I know that I need to do. Not only does it hurt me but it hurts you too. So first I would like to start off by apologizing for not having my priorities in check. Speaking of which I decided to make this quick post about priorities and how crucial it is to put what God has for you first.

Matthew 6:33 says " But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and these things shall be added unto you".

Now this scripture happens to be my favorite, yet its still one that I have to work on myself. I get focused on a day to day bases on trying to do things my way when God wants my focus on him so that way he can do what he needs to do with out my messy uncoordinated hands being in the way. So lets talk about what a priority is:

a priority is something given special attention. it is also a preferential rating.
Lets do a little thinking. Sit and think of about 5 things that you place as priority in your life right now at this very moment. And be HONEST (no one knows but you and God what you place as your priorities) I hope that Jesus came in the #1 spot. If he didn't then that would be a great place to start. I can honestly and shamefully say that somedays I FAIL at putting Jesus at number one. (honest moment) I just like you have to be reminded that my earthly situations should NEVER come before God and his rightousness. Besides how much easier is it to think on God, serve God and just love God and have him handle your everyday toils and torments. Is education important? It sure is! Is it more important than God? It sure ISN'T with out God there would be no "education" so how dare any of us put it before him right? That goes with other things that we deal with daily. Colossians 1:16-17 says:

16 For by[a] him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

So you don't have to worry about if I take my focus off of my life then my life will fall apart well first the bible tells that we were bought with a price therefore we are to honor God with our bodies and in our spirit which are his. I paraphrased that but you can read it in 1 Corinthians 6:20. If you are Gods do you think he is gonna just leave you hanging? Of course not he ALWAYS has something planned for you. But if you don't put him first then your gonna be a confused mess because your plans make work temporarily but they eventually fall apart. Think of a time when you had a plan succeed when you finally just threw your hands up and said "Lord, you take it because I can't do it on my own any more." Things came together didn't they? So don't just think your gonna be hanging out there. :-)

(I said this would be short and it clearly keeps growing) Ok so back to priorites. Being a college student it is pretty easy to get caught up in the "campus life" that we tend to forget where our priorities lie. Since we know now that jesus should come first ALWAYS lets talk about some things under him.

For most of us EDUCATION( your job can be applied in its proper context) would be next on our lists. So im going to speak on that but I find one topic that should be truly be above education, that I will try mention next. Now I know that college is so much fun and what not but its more than that. Your schooling should be more important to you then always wanting to hang out and socialize. Am I saying not to socialize? No. But you should know when you need to stop and get serious about your work. Don't let that time come to late. Remember it doesn't matter what your friends are doing right now. If your life isn't together you will very well get left behind while your friends graduate and move on. Handle your business FIRST and then take breaks to socialize. know your limits. If you have to get a planner or in our technologically advanced days get your smart phone and plug in specific times for studying, socializing, "you-time", time to eat (if it takes that to get you on track), sports schedule if play sports, so on and so forth.Don't get left behind because your not putting your focus where it needs to be. trust me this is something that everyone needs to work on INCLUDING myself. It really does work though. Organization is KEY. I was able to get assignments completed on time, had time for friends and time to relax, which in my opinion are all necessary. Remember You ARENT going to be in college for the rest of your life and if your like me your already almost done with that. So get your stuff together now while your still young and can do so. There is a saying that says "youth is wasted on the young" If you work hard now while you have the faculties to do so, when your faculties ever being to stop working then you won't have to work so hard to enjoy life.

Ok so i have kind of gone long so Im gonna stop at this point. FAMILY. Family is REALLY number TWO. It doesn't matter that your in school. They should always be a top priority no MATTER WHAT! so what if you have hard times with your family. So what if your mad that when you go home your parents expect you to care for the house as though you still live there everyday. DO IT. So what if your younger siblings get on your nerves. LOVE THEM ANYHOW Your family BY far will be the best things that has ever happened to you. I do realize that some families may not be perfect but everyone has a family SOME WHERE. You should never ever try to burn bridges with your family because they are going to love you the most. They are gonna help you make WISE decisions, and they are going to be there to support you through all that you go through. NEVER let school or anything out side of that get in the way of your relationship with them. If anything you should be constantly working on building that unit. God is obviously BIG on family. Because here we all are today. Children of a great and mighty king. our mother being the earth of which our fleshly bodies where formed. and our brother, friend, and bridegroom, a man that loves us like he loves the church and gave his LIFE for the eternal forgiveness of our sins JESUS CHRIST. Never EVER forsake your family. What ever family God has blessed you with. They should always come first. YOur time with them is so precious, and to lose it would be so terrible.

Ok, I don't even know if I hit the Priority part good enough but for a "just getting started again" post I think its good enough. So to recall. Keep God First seek him, love him, learn him. And any problems with the the above stated will and can be fixed if you just keep seeking the father and putting him first. So now hopefully I will try to blog more but we will see how that goes. Your not the only one that has to make sure their priorities are straight! I hope that you are all doing well!
